Day 2

This morning, we woke up, ate breakfast, and headed to church. We experienced a Nicaraguan style church service at Verbo and toured a little bit of Managua after.

 

After, our team got to zip line in Managua! Many were nervous, but everyone enjoyed it after all. 

Day 1

We were excited to board our flights and take off for our mission trip this morning! We enjoyed our day and arrived safely in Managua, Nicaragua.

Many of us even saw a volcano for the first time!

Tonight, after we landed we saw some of the city, met who we are staying with, had our first Nicaraguan dinner, and talked about our upcoming week :)

Our Upcoming Trip

On Saturday, July 30th, we will be leaving Charlotte, NC and flying to Nicaragua to spend a week serving and loving everyone we come across. Our team is staying at "El Salero" (The Saltshaker) for the week and we are looking forward to all the mission work we will take part in. Their ministry's website will also show you more of what we will be doing as well (www.alongsideministries.org). We will be cleaning up the compound we're staying at, playing sports with kids in the barrio (neighborhood), and leading devotional times and sharing the message of Christ. We are excited to share our journey with you and hope that you will enjoy this week along with us!!
